In Clarkston
Mr. William Holcomb, of this place, has threshed from 33 acres of wheat 639 bussels. Eleven acres was spring wheat and averaged 17 bushels per acre, a rather unusual yeild for this section.
The plasterers are at work on the new M. E. Church, and the carpenters are enclosing the spire, the top of which is over 100 feet from the ground.
Mr. H. T. Hirst, of the firm of Hirst and Stiff, has sold his half interest in the Clarkston Mills to Mr. Stiff, his partner.
At a recent meeting of the board of trustees of our school, all the old officers were re-elected, viz: W. V. B. Vliet, director; N. B. Smith, moderator; E. Stiff, assessor.
