A pleasant wedding
On December 28th, 1892, at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr and Mrs T. T. Clement, in Waterford Township, a goodly company assembled to witness the nuptials of their daughter Vina to Mr. Andes Smith, Of Pontiac. Reverend W. S. Jerome, Of this city, tied the marriage not edible 6:00 PM, After which he assembled guests, about 60 in number, sat down to a sumptuous repast. A long list of valuable and useful presence could be enumerated and published, but as that, like New Year’s calls has largely gone out, suffice it to say that the fair bride was most substantially remembered, that her dress was elegant and most becoming and at the happy couple left it near midnight, amid the congratulations of the numerous company, for their home on Perry Street, Pontiac, where they will be glad to receive the calls of their many friends and acquaintances. A plentiful shower of rice fell on them when leaving, which doubtless will not fail to bring them all the good luck that tradition so surely implies.
