In Pontiac


The ladies at the M. E. Church will give a social on Friday evening. Amer Carson has paid Justice Beach $5 for the privilege of being drunk and disorderly. The D. and M. R. R. on Monday received 10 carloads of new iron, which will be laid new Royal Oak. W. P. Gorman has gone to Lake Superior to superintend the construction of a State road from L'Ause to Huron Bay. C. W. Green having invented a seamless shoe and sold one half interest to an eadstern man for $20,000, will close up business in Pontiac. Alf. Webb has purchased his partener's interest in the meat market, and will hereafter "go it alone." Only 146 dogs have been licensed in Pontiac. The Bill Poter days that little attention is paid to t he law in Oakland County.
