Four Injured in Smashups

Truck Demolished at Rail Crossing

Peter Zopalichny, 37 years old, 21437 John R. street, is in serious condition in Highland Park Central Hospital of injuries suffered when his truck was struck by a Grand Trunk passenger train at the lincoln avenue crossing in Royal Oak Sunday afternoon. According to A. B. Trunk, 14283 Marlowe avenue, the engineer, Zopalichny drove on the tracks as the train approached the crossing. An investigation showed that signal lights and bells at the crossing were working and the truck driver apparently had failed to notice them. Sopalichny suffered head and chest injuries. The truck was demolished.
