Old Home To Become A Museum

Built in 1826 By Col. Frank From New York


The old Hubbard home at the corner of John R Road and Auburn Road, built in 1826 by Col. John Frank of New York, and occupied by his descendants, up until the lands were sold to the D. M. Ferry Company near the turn of the century, as loaded on moving dollies last week and moved to a site on Hamlin road. The old home, bought and moved by the Ray Griffiths of Shollc road, will be remodeled and turned into a museum, it was reported this week by Mrs. Ray Griffith. Being collectors of antiques, the Griffiths will use the old home for display of their may antiques to the public, she said. Mr Griffith collects the antiquated things used by the early farming; Mrs. Griffith specializes in salt and pepper shakers, having over 3,000 sets of various kinds and styles from all over the earth. The Hubbard family occupied the old home over 50 years, while Mr. Hubbard as employed by the Ferry-MOrse Seed Company, who sold the land to Howard McGregor, Sr. in the late forties.
