Site For New Hatchery

It will be located in Drayton Plains in Oakland County, State Fish Commissioner H. W. DAvis has returned from Detroit, where he attended the monthly meeting of the commission. Among other business transacted was the determination of the location of the new bass hatchery for the eastern part of the state. It will be located at Drayton Plains in Oakland County, a very admirable sote having been secured. It is upon the site of an old grist mill, between two lakes, and is not only well adapted, but a very picturesque place. Superintendent Dwight Lydell of the Mill Creek hatchery will be detailed at once to install the new plant. He is at present working for the government in the work of gathering whitefish spawn on the Detroit River, but will take up the new work immediately after the white fish season is over.
