George Terry as Near Death

George Terry, employed as a tall sawyer in the mill of E. Howland & Sons, on the Howland farm in White Lake, had a miraculous escape from death, Friday. In taking lumber away from the saw, he slipped and was about to fall directly back upon the saw. Realizing his peril, he thrust one hand and one foot out against the saw. The little finger and the palm of the hand were cut off and his rubber and boot cut off clean at the heel, the sam just grazing his foot. Had Terry fallen back upon the saw, his body would in all probability have been severed. The saw is a new one, 56 inches in diameter.
