Oxford woman Seeks Divorce

In December, an Oxford woman was one of a number to receive a decree of divorce. Court attachees relate that the tale of cruelty and neglect which she set up as good and sufficient grounds for divorce in any case and her statements were borne out by other witnesses. Inside of two weeks from the date of the divorce, the woman again appeared in the county clerk's office and secured a marriage license to marry the man from whom she had but to weeks previously been divorced. Court attachees relate, that the woman was granted the decree of divorce, returned to Oxford jubilant. The story goes that the same night she returned with the divorce, the former husband met her with smiles and kind words, presented her with a handsome gold watch and immediately took up the domestic relations with her that had been shattered by the application for divorce. A short time alter the woman so quickly divorced and remarried, appeared in the courtroom, this time as a witness for another woman also seeking divorce. The gold watch appeared conspicuously on her make up.
