E. M. Murphy, S. E. Beach, J. S. Stockwell Jr., and L. L. Dunlap in the deal. Which means further development of their plants. Mr. Murphy acquires Pontic Buggy Co., while Beach, at al, take the Dunlap plant. A most important move in connection with the local manufacturing situation has been consummated during the week affecting one of Pontiac's largest carriage industries. By the terms of the deal and city will be assured of additional factory buildings and of additional factory buildings and the development to a further extent of the already important carriage trade. Since the organization of the Pontiac Buggy Co., the Dunlap Vehicle Co., and the Crescent Carriage Co., the three industries have grown to the extent that a division of the properties has seemed wise on the part of those interested and through the arrangement just made, E. M. Murphy will acquire the interest of S. E. Beach in the Pontiac Buggy Co., as well as that of J. S. Stockwell in the Crescent concern. On the other hand Messr. Beach, Dunlap and Stockwell have acquired the Dunlap plant and will, beginning about Aug 1st, come into control of the property. It is their intention to begin at once the erection of a large addition to the plant, plans of which are already under way. In conversation with E. M. Murphy and S. E. Beach this morning the press was informed of the move under way and the plans that will be carried out in further development of these important industries. In his conduct of the Pontiac Buggy Co., Mr. Murphy will have associated with him as secretary. Mr. G. J. Cram, who comes from the St. Louis Moline Plow Co., where he has had extensive experience in the manufacture and marketing of vehicles. Mr. Cram was previous to his St. Louis experience connected for 17 years with the Marseilles Mfg. Co., of Marseilles, Ill. He comes to Pontiac with full knowledge of the important industry with which he is to be allied, and is a welcome addition to the live, up-to-date men of Pontiac, who have placed the vehicle industry in the front rank
