Death in a Well

While Edgar tindall, of Holly, was stoning up a well, Saturday, for Samuel Foster, in Springfield, Oakland County, Charles Morris, in his employ, attempted to descend by a rope, having his foot in a loop in the end. When the rope tightened by his weight, the horse started and drew him towards the pully over the well. Morris was thus dislodged and fell 57 feet, He died in a hour and a half, retaining consciousness to the last. Some shouted to Tindall, who sprang to one side but in an attempt to break the fall of Morris, han a hand considerably injured. The deceased was 22 years old, and bore an exemplary character.
