Two Hurt When Auto Skids, One Seriously

Suffering from internal injuries sustained in an automobile accident about seven miles north of Jackson late Tuesday afternoon, William Barnard, of Holly, Michigan, is in the Jackson City Hospital today, and E. D. Wirick, on of the three other men in the car has a fractured jaw and a bruised hip. Barnard's condition was not improved this morning and doubt is entertained as to his recovery. Wirick, with three other young men, were going on a hunting trip and picked Barnard up en route, when the latter asked for a ride. When near the Wilbur school house on the gravel road, the driver apparently lost control of the car, hich skidded to one side of the road and turned completely over. Barnard was sitting in the front seat of the Ford car and he and Wirick were injured, the others escaping unharmed. The car was owned by P. C. Chesterfield of Highland Park, Wayne. Wirick lives at 707 South Jackson street.
