R. Shaw Almost Killed
Novi - R. Shaw, living two and a half miles west of the village, came to nearly losing his life Monday afternoon. In felling a tree, it caught on another and threw a limb back, striking Mr. Shaw on the head and cutting it badly. The limb was about eight feet long and four inches in diameter. Not being entirely sound it broke, which perhaps saved his life.
