Walter Crawford and Wife Buggy Accident
On Thursday afternoon as Mr. Walter Crawford and wife were crossing the bridge near the slaughter house with their horse and buggy, the horse became frightened at a buggy standing in the river to be washed and became unmanageable and starting to run and kick furiously. Mr Crawford was thrown out first, somewhat bruised but not seriously injured. His wife with true feminine heroism held onto the reins and maintained her place in the buggy until that vehicle was nearly reduced to kindling wood and lay scattered along the road. We are happy to state that both escaped with far les serious injuries than might have been expected.
