Almost Drowned


A little son of Mrs. Thurber, wife of the late S. H. Thurber, aged about four years, while playing at the residence of Prof. Corbin, accidentally fell into a cistern, and would have drowned, but for the timely assistance of Mrs. Corbin, who heard his cries, and drew the little one out with a rake, after he sank for the second time.
