Five suspects Held for Detroit Murder

Oakland county, Michigan, authorities are holding five suspects in connection with the murder of Irene Hope Alexander, daughter of James Norman Dewey of this city, which occurred July 4 in Sylvan Gardens, a wood in a suburb of Detroit. Allen Livingston, who was first arrested and identified by the ten-year old companion of the dead girl, is still held. One of the most recent men taken in custody is Tony Kominski, who lives but a short distance from the scene of the murder and assault. Kominski's nose was battered, one side of his face was scratched and his clothing was spattered with blood, police say. A piece of blood-covered cloth was found in his pocket. Kominski could not explained its presence, it is said. Hugh Hale is one of the later suspects placed under arrest.
