Burglars at Franklin
The little settlement of Franklin was visited by burglars at an early hour yesterday. Three thieves broke in the rear door of H. J. Broughton's general store and walked away with about $50 worth of goods and a small amount of change. They entered Joseph Pickering's barn and took a horse and buckboard, with which they are believed to have escaped to Detroit. When last seen they drove through the tollgate at the Eight-mile road.
