Services for Charles Leroy Van Buren, age 12, 1080 W. Auburn Road, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wm. R. Potere Funeral Home in Rochester with the Rev. Donald Olsen of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial at Mt. Avon Cemetery. Charles was in the sixth grade in the Hamlin school and was the Detroit News carrier in his neighborhood. He is survived by the parents, Mr. and Mrs Clifton Van Buren; four sisters, Christina, Catherine, Claudia and Carla; a brother Clifton jr.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Van Buren of South Lyons and Mrs. Marguerite Sutton of Highland Park.
