On Tuesday night last, Mr. A. H. Heath, in attempting to descended from a wagon assisted by Mr J. A .Durkee, he lost his balance and fell to the ground striking hi knee with such force as to break the ligaments which retain the knee pan in its position and forced it entirely from its place, leaving it between the bone and skin of the leg above the knee, and strange as it may seem all this was done without breaking the skin. It is feared that the leg will have to be amputated above the knee, About a year since, Mr. Heath, met with an accident while traveling on the cars by which he lost both legs below the knees, and it was the inability to help himself that occasioned his last severe and painful accident.
