Miss Ida A. Pierce, a life long resident of this community. passed away today at 9 am. Her death has taken form this village one of tis sterling characters. For many years she followed the calling of practical nurse and for the past 10-12 years she operated a lying-in hospital in Clarkston, where many mothers received the blessings of her ministering care. Miss Pierce was a working christian. She believed best serve her God by rendering her nest aid to her fellow beings and there are but few homes in this vicinity that have not responded to her loving care. She has with open arms received little newcomers. She has held the hands of our dying friends and whispered words of comfort when their feet were slipping over the brink. Surely we will miss her from our number for of her it maybe truly said, "the world was made a better for her having lived."
