Mrs. Ethel Jane Smith, 33, Drayton Plains, died during childbirth at Pontiac General Hospital Saturday. Her infant son, Richard JAmes, survived. Mes Smith was born in Greenville, MO., Nov 20, 1910, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waltman, and was married to Herman W. Smith in Parma, MO, Jul 31, 1927. She had lived in this county four years, coming here from Tallipssa, MO. Surviving are her husband, her parents, three other sons, Bobby Lee, Billy Joe, and Walter Lynn; a brother, Charles, of Pontiac, and two sisters. Service was Wednesday at 10:30am at Voorhees-Donaldson Funeral Home, burial in Ottawa Park Cemetery.
