Holly, Jan. 10.—The funeral of Mrs. Linus Pettis was held this forenoon at 10 o'clock from the family residence a few miles north of town. The sermon was preached by Rev. D. S. Carmichael and burial was made in Lakeside cemetery. The deceased was 32 years of age. Her maiden name was Cora Ford and she was married to Mr. Pettis nine years ago. They have since resided in Holly township. Besides her husband she leaves a week old baby son, a mother, two sisters and a brother to mourn her death. Mrs. Pettis had many friends who are in sorrow over her sad and untimely death.
