Dies of Heart Attack While Driving Truck. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday from the Lakeville Church for Stanley Spencer, 68, of Routel, Oxford, who died suddenly from a heart attack while driving his truck on Dequindre road, Tuesday. Burial was in Lakeville cemetery. Mr Spencer and a cousin, George J. Hoke, had loaded some cattle on the former's truck at the Newberry farm on Parks road. Hoke was following behind when the truck Spencer drove to the side of the road and stopped. When Hoke went to see what had stopped him, he found him slumped over the wheel, dead. Dr. I. C. Prevette, deputy coroner, pronounced death due to a heart attack. Mr. Spencer, with Lakeville hunters, had returned home Sunday from deer hunting near Mio, apparently in good health. He was born March 17, 1879, in Macomb County, son of Hayden Spencer. Surviving are his widow, Elva, two daughters, Mrs. Herschel Powell of Greenville, and Mrs. Harry Jackson of Mt, Vernon; also two grandchildren and one brother, Trenton, of Lakeville.
