He lived in Pontiac, left with the Mormons in 1832, went to Illinois, where he died. Nahum was one of the first land owners in Oakland County, his first purchase was on Nov 27, 1830, section 12 of Waterford Township, for 80 acres, the W 1/2 SE 1/4 the next was two purchases were made on Sep 6, 1832, one in section 36 of Highland township, the E 1/2 SE 1/4 of 80 acers and the other in section 12 in Waterford Township, the NE 1/4 SW 1/4 containing 40 acres. Another land purchase in Commerce township, section 6, containing 41.54 acres, the SW 1/4 NW 1/4, on May 28, 1836.
