Elmer and his family in 1908 lived in section 6 of Orion Twp., He served as township school inspector for four years, and has held other offices. He and his wife owned a farm of about 238 acres. His house was located on the south side of Stanton Rd. between Baldwin Rd. and Coates Rd.
