He was known for murdering his wife, daughter and five step children in their Troy home on Sep 28, 1964. He was a Royal Oak fireman. After slashing the wife of his cousin, in 1961, he spent some time in the Pontiac State Hospital, being released in April 1962. In Feb 1963, William was found naked and drunk, walking along Rochester Rd, in Troy Township. After this his wife put him back in the Pontiac State hospital and was officially released in Jul 1964. Upon his release, his wife asked him for a divorce, a couple od days later, he went back to the house and murdered the whole family, using a double sided axe, a hammer, and shooting his own daughter with a shotgun.
